To all those commenting about how these guys should have waited for the corn to dry more... in '09 it was a cool summer and the corn didnt mature as is should have, EVERYTHING was wet that year, I work at an elevator and we had 30-35% for an avg. it didnt hit 26-27% til december. it was a lousy year for corn.

just cause you have a corn drier doesnt mean you should harvest 30% moisture do you know how much it costs to dry that stuff!

Dont worry about the wet corn we were still hauling corn in December at 25%. We hauled most of our corn to town at 20-30%. Only put 100,000 bu in bins probably.
