It is usually a laughable joke in many parts of Kenya to tell someone to climb a mountain if they are experiencing network problems while communicating on mobile phones. In Dukana, in Marsabit North district however, that would not sound funny to anyone, because hill tops are the only places to find network. Sylvia Chebet was in the area and climbed one of the tallest hills with the residents searching for the fickle network.
This reminds me of my village in 2001. There was only 1 spot, 5 feet high on the local primary school field that had the only network in the area then, 'KENCELL'. We had to bribe the villagers to be shown the exact spot!!!

hahaha only in Kenya, some enterprising Kenyan should go there n start a transport business to take people in search of network. But really the government should do something to help these people. But this is what makes we Kenyans a unique bleed
