These videos were shot in Northern Indiana (South Bend / Mishawaka area) in a run off creek. In these videos, we use a Proline Highbank Dredge combination. We have not used it for any highbanking, but mostly just for dredging. In these videos we show you the setup we have been using for the past couple years. This particular dredge does an excellent job catching the black sand and gold. Our particular model is only a 2 opening, but it sure does move a lot of material. We also go underwater with the video camera to give you a whole new look at what really happens under the water. This particular day has been divided up into four parts. Catch all the other parts and many more interesting videos on my channel. Enjoy!

  • beautiful creek area.

Ever been to wildcat creek in Putnam county? or Brown county

Seems like every creek in brown county has a little gold in it.

Love the vids. What camera are you using?

  • @Mrjayjubear I can't say much about the gold panning. My dad is the 'expert' when it comes to that.

As far as the camera goes, I was using a Flim Ultra HD that shoots in 720p high definition. Although I've recently upgraded to a Canon 1080p Full HD camcorder. The Flip is still a great portable camera and the underwater case makes it preferred for these videos.

  • Like your vids. Don't see a whole lot on Northern Indiana.

Whats the regulations on running a dredge in Indiana?

  • @jgamble66 I can't say for sure. I think 5" dredge for recreational purposes was the max. My dad could tell you more.

  • All that for one fleck of gold, worth what, a dime? Better move to another area.

  • @RyanBruce420 would the same go for michigan?

  • @mapleflyer567 Hi we are now finding better gold in the Wabash River down by Peru. Good luck!

  • @Ready2Run1 Hi Ryan, 5" is the largest dredge that can be used in Indiana.

Gold Pans/Classifiers Highbankers Sluice Highbankers Sluice

  • Looks like a good area there. Good luck!

  • Well you got a little bit of gold nice machine to but i reccon you and your dad should go to a area with bedrock sticking out or big boulders and dredge all around them and if possible flip them over with a car jack and dredge under them couldnt tell yah how many pickers ive found doing that kind of dredging!

  • ONe of the few vids that show how to do it from beginning to end!!! I applaude you. Tell dad to consider getting a mat for under the Miners moss. I would bet he is losing ALOT of gold because the fine stuff passes under the mat and out the box. It is my understanding many people have a problem with that
