Before the later half of Joseon dynasty, Korean armies were pretty advanced in comparison to others. If Korea lost all the time, it doesn't make sense that Korea still exists cuz if I remember correctly, there has been aproximately 900 known foreign invasions in Korea in its history.

i think I remember this song from when I went through the ROK Army Ranger course with the U.S. 2nd Infantry Division.

I remember the 'macho manchi man" part

and I vaguely recall the song has a line in it about "there are many strong men in the world but I am the strongest' but its been 20 years. I wish somebody would post English translations of these Korean

songs because its hard to google search

for it if the name's in Hangul characters and its good to know what songs mean.

@bud389 Until the later 20th Century we have been using US equipment but starting of 21st Century, most of Korean Based projects were done, so now days most of front-line regiments are using Korean Equipment

@Texasjim2007 I remember 'mankho manchi man, sarung tu do kay, sarung tu do kay maching sa na ay. then YUGIUK YUGIUK YUGIUK repeat X10,000 and YUGIUK TE. I ached every day on that course. It was on that course that my SGT said I should join the legion and I did. But I never had those muscle aches like kimchi ranger school.an young hap shim nika, Mek JU Han beyoung ju sayo.
