  • Oh shame on you Quality Control at Motown. This is a release the should have never never never gotten away!!!!!!!!!!. This is one of the best tracks of the Uptight album. Now who agrees lol?

  • This album was released on the Motown label. Unless I'm mistaken (and AllMusic for that matter).

  • the album in my opinion was the best he ever done, period

  • What another great drum Intro....Benny..Benjamin.....and a drum break...in the middle of the tune..unheard of at Motown.....Stevie was taught drums by Benny...and keyboards..by...earl Van dyke..Joe Hunter..and Johnny Griffiths....can't go wrong..with teachers like that.....!!!

  • Believe it or not, this song was released as a single (B-side) in 1967 by Tamla Motown in Italy under the title "Passo le mie notti qui da solo" (Spending all my nights here alone") and Stevie sings in Italian on the same base track and no chorus. The lyrics have nothing to do with the original, they talk about a man all alone in the night thinking of his belle who ran away.

  • Oh ok I get what you had meant. I meant this particular song should have been released as a single, but you are correct this album was released on Motown, the Tamala label to be exact.
