Wow. I spent a couple of hours the other day watching the documentary on DVD and here you have the whole thing condensed to less than 7 minutes. I could have saved some time.
I personally think he is a good choice for superman, he did a great job as clark kent/Superman, but i wish they would have rebooted wit him. he looks alot like Reeve, just not as solid.
I think Routh was great in the part. He was perfect. Too bad he didn't have a great script. I wish they had kept him for the new film....lets see how the new guy does.
@sonbuhitsunei i dont think routh was a good choice for superman,, routh looks to much like a faggot,, he dont fit the role for superman rite,, dont look rite
@johnnyz249 I don't think Returns was a *bad* move, it had perfect casting in Routhe, but where it fell apart was that it wasn't...well..."Super"! Given All that we've seen done in films since the Superman films of the 70's and 80's, it is just no longer impressive to see him carrying cars or stopping bullets (though I always enjoy that). He needs a real threat- and I get that Spacey was going for the Gene Hackman goofy Lex, but it doesn't play as a legitimate threat- that's the problem.
I disagree with Mr.Singer..The "Superman"movie serials are not bad movies...I enjoyed the serials and Mr.Alyn gave a good performance as"The Man Of Steel" and as "Clark Kent".
@repaate It's not weird, the producers of Smallville purposely use past actors from other Superman films or television in their show as cameos. Margot Kidder who played Lois in the old movie, was Bridget Crosby in Smallville. Smallville Clark's mom played Lana in the old Superman movie. Chris Reeve of old Superman, played the astronomer who helps Clark find his origin in Smallville. Dean Cain played a DC villain adaptation of Vandal Sage the immortal villain, etc.
