I shot this video at the House of Blues Sunset Strip on November 12, 2009 during Joe's eleven song set which took place after the competitors for the 2009 Guitar Center's King of the Blues performed. What a stunning show!! Joe performed along with his band mates, Bogie Bowles on drums, Carmine Rojas on bass, and Rick Melick on keyboards and backing vocals, for the first three songs (including this one) before he was joined by some extraordinary guests. You'll have to peek at my other videos to see him play with the great Glenn Hughes, Steve Lukather, Hubert Sumlin, Elliot Easton and Tyler Dow Bryant.

This is a great song, and is the title track to a STUNNING CD. I cannot recommend it highly enough. A really brilliant achievement, I think. How fun it has been for me to watch this particular song from its infancy in August of 2008, on the first and second nights that Joe ever played it, as it has grown and changed - EVOLVED really - like all of his music. Never a dull moment around Mr. Bonamassa. :) If you want to see what I'm talking about, please check out my video "Spike Drive Blues" (which was the name of the song when Joe first rolled it out to us).

Enjoy. Come back for more. :)

Best,

Libby :)

  • @oldcomputech To add onto what stebonar said, it is a Steve Morse style of guitar. the Y2D model specifically.

  • @oldcomputech Custom made I think, just search "Joe Bonamassa Ernie Ball Doubleneck"

  • Anybody know what kind of doubleneck that is?
