Samsung Galaxy S2: A quick look

Just a few quick comments and impressions about the highly desirable Samsung Galaxy S2. Over 3 million devices sold, by Samsung, just 55 days post release in the late spring. Not bad. Even Apple would be proud. Or maybe not, LOL. U.S. launch in August 2011, Canadian launch July 21, 2011 with Bell or Virgin.

@30frankco that's not dependent on the device, but the network...to answer your question, yes a call can still be active in the background while you do something else....won't work on Verizon...

@mobilepsycho where did u get that wallpaper it beautiful. Also I think that your eyes have been decieving you as the Samsung Galaxy S 2 blows any iPhone model out of competition when it comes to looks. Now build quality I'll have to give to Apples iPhone.

Nice phone. I'm w/ T-Mobile, so I'm going to have to wait for the Hercules in Sept. I do wish Samsung would use higher-quality materials like the Sensation. I like a little weight on my phone.

If memory serves, the htc Thunderbolt has simultaneous voice and data which leads me to conclude it can be partly dependent on the device as well. I'm hoping they will apply the same technology to the iphone 5. I know, I'm dreaming on that one but it's worth a shot :P

Samsung is having it's conference on August 29th I think in which they will announce the Galaxy s2. So, it'll go on sale the week after.
