Union Pacific Auto Train and BNSF trains 3-1-08

This UP autorack train is southbound crossing the BNSF diamond at Claremore, OK. It's fairly uncommon for a southbound UP on this track....this is a directional running track with primarily northbounds to Kansas City. Southbounds typically use the line 15 miles east. This train is led by SD70 UP 3808 and a Dash-8B 1810.

The other two trains are just short clips of BNSF locomotives as I was on my way home. I didn't have my tripod set up on either, so quality isn't too good on those.

I was lucky enough to live near Claremore, but never filmed the trains - I have regretted that ever since. I could watch and especially listen to them for hours. Yup, I'm weird! Many, many thanks for filming this.

No, not weird at all!! A lot of people go to Claremore to watch trains because their are two major lines running through the town. I'm glad you enjoyed it!!

yeah my uncle lives there and im going there in may to visit and im going to be doing alot of train spotting while im visiting. im so excited! :)

I'm a Okla. City gal that use to live in Chelsea. Was this video taken on Rt.66? Was it also taken near Lowery Road? Being from Chelsea I grew up with the trains coming thru and loved them ever since. Gave you 5*'s my friend!

thats an ok thing, I lived in Claremore & it was about every 15 - 20 minutes a train would come through, I use to walk home from school on the tracks & walk right over the 2 rail company crossings, when I lived in Chelsea earlier, the horns use to sound different & it was a red train, Frisco or Santa Fe, can't remember which, they were soothing to listen to at night.

its the trains that make me want to leave claremore more then anything. when they run through here you may as well have cut the town in half and we are too cheap to do anything about it.
