This seminar will focus on three sports: swimming, cycling and running. There will be two components to the seminar: classroom sessions and a "laboratory" in the form of a structured training program. The classroom component will introduce the students to the chemistry of their own biological system. With swimming, running and cycling as sample sports, students are encouraged to apply their knowledge to complete a triathlon shortly after the term.

the newton shoes have a very low heel to toe drop, so it's easier to land efficiently.
so i think it is a good name and it does make sense.
let me get this right...you think Isaac Newton would be mad that someone is using his name for commercial purposes? that is too funny. :)

the shoe company was named newton as a reference to "energy" that people would understand.
when you run more efficiently, you lose less energy with each stride. >50% of your propulsion in running is due to the elastic return of energy in your tendons (esp the achilles).
shoes with too high of a heel make it very difficult to avoid landing with your foot in front of your center of mass, which causes you to lose more energy than if you land below your center of mass.

I don't think Sir Newton would be very happy that this guy was ripping off his name for this purpose. I don't think Danny believes that athletes are fighting over his shoe's. Why not call them "Abshires".
Hmmm, because it's bull.
Too many big words, when none are required.

I cant believe this is MIT. In case they did not know, Newton was not aware of his own constant. Efficiency of energy is in creation, not it's use. Gate makes no difference if your energy supply is larger than your demand. MIT. He is trying to make a difference, that is to be admired.

He's very repetitive.
