Senator, Lt. Gov. Promote Lake Texoma

KTEN Television covered a news conference at the Durant Area Chamber of Commerce conducted by Oklahoma Senator Jay Paul Gumm and Lt. Gov. Jari Askins to promote Labor Day weekend at Lake Texoma. The Texoma area has been hit hard by recent flooding, which all but cancelled both the Memorial Day and Fourth of July holidays. Senator Jay Paul Gumm, who represents the Texoma area, invited the lieutenant governor down in her role as chair of the Oklahoma Tourism Commission to help get the word out that businesses around the lake have put out the welcome mat for tourists during the upcoming holiday.
