  • Come on, admit it; it don't get any better... and never will. "Eagles", cry your eyes out...

    !

  • @kevinherbert Buble is a hack compared to singers like Mel Torme

  • anyone know when this was recorded?

    liking this a lot!!

  • @supadude626 : Buble should be very pleased to be spoken about in the same breath as Mel......Torme was a multi instrumentalist extraordinaire, arranger, player.....both are naturals...and deserve their place in music's rich tapestry.....

  • Beyond the walls of intelligence, life is defined. I think of crime when im in a New York state of mind....

  • wishing the clips from michael's pub, were still posted, darn.

it's mel's birthday :) would love to hear those.

    love his music, voice

  • I saw Mel Torme at a small club on the Upper East Side of Manhattan in the 1980's.Great singer.I heard him do this song.It was special then and still is!

  • @jessied44 : I saw Mel play guitar, piano & drums at a concert he gave at the Wrest Point Casino in Hobart (Australia) in 1974. He took over the room....what a player..it changed my life musically......it was 'the'perfect' concert of my life...even to this day....a musical giant.....

  • I was fortunate enough to hear Mel Torme in Vegas in a lounge in the late 60s. Nothing but a stool and his guitar. Now that was magic.
