Chance, the latest and, at 160 pounds, the largest dog in the Pet Therapy program at Backus Hospital in Norwich, CT, started his first day as a volunteer by receiving his official badge and then visiting various floors of the hospital where he put a big smile on the faces of patients and staff. Pet therapy dogs can help in the healing process of patients, and on his first day Chance made a big impression.

  • @moaschtr I guess you have never heard of or seen a show lead. A 160 lb dog will only be guided by that tiny lead. It is a testament to wonderful training that a dog of this size can be trusted on a tiny lead in a public environment.

  • horrible! seams like the owner never heared of a collar or even a harness. insted he ist beeing forced around on a 10cm long string around his head, wich unables him to move where he wants to... thats just a bad example of animal-therapie should not look like!
