@Texasraised1215 no, it still applies... it basically comes down to whether they catch you and care enough to chase after you... if you live in a suburb with picky neighbors they'll be knocking on your door. If the neighbors don't care, the gov probably won't find out about it.

That one dislike is the 1%. Fuck them.

Nice to be able to go back and watch these older ones, too. Thanks!

@solarcabin thanks for the reply, I have actually been looking at the Bourdon ranch area because the land is cheap and it's next to Silver creek.

In most states, including my own any occupied structure under 400 sq feet has to be on a trailer that is registered as a recreational trailer. Anything over 400 is considered an actual trailer or home and is subject to building codes, do you know any way around these rules? I want to be more independent but most laws these days don't allow you to be. I could do the whole shed thing but nobody in Arizona can mind their own business.

@fatguyaaron
Look at rural counties with few building codes. Show Low in AZ might work.

when you are building the cabin, if you are in an area that sometimes has strong winds and tornados, can you lay down a concrete foundation or pay someone to do it?

@jkellybrew
Yes it could be built on a cement slab.
