My cats do the same thing, it's so funny. One actually forgot there was a window between him and the bird and went for the attack!

it's not lame to me, it's cute! he looks like he feels so secure, they did their claws into yur pants legs like that when the feel good enough to knead, so he's stimulated by the birds and yet happy to be on the lappy and that's a cute, funny contented kitty, you can tell he feels loved. He looks a bit like a lion too! nice vid thanks for post'n made my day! GB:)

i wouldn't call it barking, that's for sure. Hissing or coughing or hiccuping or hacking but not barking. Have you ever heard a bark? Dogs do it.
