I was at this concert in CT. They just renovated the theatre to be an indoor venue. In the ast iwas an outdoor theatre and I recall is got HOT inside. I saw JD a couple of times at Oakdale. If I recall correctly he sang I'd rather be a cowboy at this concert. If so, could you post the recording?

Hi, Thank you for writing. I did a bit of research online and read something about the theatre being rebuilt. It is just great to hear from someone who was actually at this amazing show. Just John by himself and putting on one of his best performances. Thankfully, there was someone there to make this wonderful recording!
You do recall correctly, JD did sing 'I'd Rather Be a Cowboy' and I certainly will post the recording. Please be patient and I will get there.

I have seen JD in concert in other venues as well, Radio City, New Haven,SPAC (Saratoga, NY), NJ. I was also in the audience at the recording of his Wildlife concert in NY. I have to say the Oakdale concert was one of the best.

Wow! Thanks for being from Conneticut! I had no information other than it was Conneticut in August 1997.
