A practice session featuring sarangi player Zohaib Hassan Khan performing raag Megh at his residence in Lahore, Pakistan. The 22 year old is the scion of the Amritsar gharana and is currently Pakistan's finest sarangi player from the younger generation.

Lovely melody...almost sounded like a Chinese instrument in some parts. Overall, an enchanting piece. Wish I could improvise some of my guitar to this in a live performance.

Ive met the guy, and seen him play live a few times, and hes even better than he sounds here, having seen many of the top sarangi players live in concert, i would argue that he's certainly the best in this generation and probably even the best sarangi player alive in Pakistan.he does need our support though, as he relies mainly on performing in musical programs and sarangi isn't in vogue anymore, so please invite musicians like this to your functions. cus you gotta have class and taste in music
