Cannondale became the BIKE OF CHOICE for President George Bush when the Cannondale Company gave him a customized 2007 Mountain Bike before they even hit the stores, valued at over $5,000. If you protest the war, can you in good faith ride a Cannondale?

Boycott Cannondale because Bush rides one. Well Bush likes hot dogs and the Yankees, we should boycott those two as well. Screw the NY Yankees they support the war, hot dogs too, so does all the clothing-brand that Bush's wear, they all support the war. Let's boycott all that is been known to Bush. I will not buy another Cannondale cause now they are "Handmade in Communist China". Wonder why they don't put that on the seatstays. And yes High end ones are still made here but for how fucking long? In the end they and Trek will only make one flagship bike here for about 10k to came USA connection. Isn't there a law that govn't officials can't accept gifts like that? Well, at least there should be. I think Bush has enough money to BUY that bike.

Jeff...sort of kind of not really. The law states that they cannot accept said gifts unless they DECLARE THEM...as long as they admit they recieve them, it is no harm no foul. The company CONVENIENTLY gifted this bike to the president just before it's official RELEASE into the retail market...in short, despite their claims, they used the gift to help sales, and do not think any one in opposition to Bush's flawed war policy should support Cannondale.

Bush was pictured on a Trek. Let's boycott Trek too. He was on a Mountain Bike. Let's boycott Mountain Bikes. He lives in a house. Let's boycott houses. Bush eats food. Let's boycott food. After he leaves office, he can't keep the bike anyway... it'll go into the Presidential Library. You're an idiot.

The Cannondale Bike was deliberately custom painted in a way to pay HOMAGE to Bush's position as COmmander and Chief of OUR ARMED FORCES...so, if you support the job he's done, the deaths of our soldiers, then buy a Cannondale...if, on the other hand you believe Bush's Stay The Course Policy has been wrong, then you owe it to our troops to BOYCOTT CANNONDALE...it's that simple.

I'll be honest. I hate the Bush Administration and its motivators. Our country is lost in a sea of propaganda and half-truths. My major point is that your logic is flawed and your opinion is based on malice, not fact and all your doing is spreading hate. I'm not sure you even know what paint job he got. It wasn't even in the video. No insignia, no bombs, just stars, red, and blue.

Logic is not flawed...the news article did not have a picture of this new bike, it did have a full description of the bike and it's CUSTOM PAINT JOB, complete with th PRESIDENTIAL SEAL.
