Ironically, I asked that very question to someone who not only became an ex-gay but a bumper sticker, echo chamber, tickertape, cue card reading, fox news, rush, hannity republican and he never did give me a valid answer or reason other than he was lying.

I was there the whole day. It was amazing to witness God's mercy and love. We started as a fast, and ended it as a festival. We dare to believe God has heard the cries from our hearts, and that our prayers truly have changed the course of history. Fire, fire, fire. Mercy, mercy, mercy.

How much I hate this Tony Perkins, calls him self A conservative, what exactly is that? Some one who admires radicals centuries after they're dead, make no change and consult your grandmother when in doubt? the sick part about this inapt is as soon as he gets sick he runs to hospitals, not churches, what happened to the healing GOD and no science?

That would have been all okay if he just stopped trying to influence unsuspecting voters.

Allowing gays and lesbians the right to marry their life partners will STRENGTHEN the institution of marriage, not hurt it.

Tony believes that we are in an "evil day" The day when I can publicly make a lifelong commitment to my partner - an evil day? The day when I adopt/have children - an evil day? A life of love between two people and their children - an evil day? Tony Perkins has twisted "family values" beyond anything recognizable. It is a SAD day for the anti-gay Christian movement.

I believe Tony Perkins is a well meaning man, but it scares me that he wants to basically establish a conservative Christian theocracy in America. This kind of thinking is extremely dangerous and un-American in my opinion.

Gays have their problems. I find a small minority of them are difficult to be around. Abortions certainly should be rare, but a woman somewhere in this country will need one. I don't care for the tired lyrics and rhythm of southern gospel music, but it shouldn't be banned. Most importantly, while Tony Perkins was speaking at this event about queers and abortions, the thousands of dying children around the world were never mentioned.

Thx for the response. I answer about twenty emails a day from the bigots as I confront them on youtube. We all need some positive support and affirmations during this epoch of hatred against the gay minority.
