The spiral staircase that leads to seemingly nowhere is actually the way to the fire blacksmith, which you of course need. I recommend clearing out the room of wheel skeletons before falling down to him the first time. He can be killed permanently by the wheel skeletons.

There's also a covenant in this area that you not only need to get but also *level up* before beating Tomb of Giants, for the purposes of THREE achievements. Look into it!

Gaaah, look at the reach on that Halberd. Beautiful, isn't it? Actually, the Gargoyle Halberd has a slightly better move-set. Its R1 attack is an overhead chop that is very nice.

Ironically, skeletons are actually more vulnerable to fire, not divine. Still, you want divine here to keep them dead without having to deal with the mages first.

Oh man, that invader was using Power Within (massive damage boost, but drains health) and was hurting LOTS. You should have just kept running from him!
