1996 Crown by Carpenter International with a DT466. Last Carpenter ever bought by the district as well as the last to be spec'd with a jack-knife door. In June of 2009 this bus was retired.

  • I rode many of these during my middle school years. I know in 6th grade we had many substitute drivers who had their own buses who had them. And 7th grade the driver I regularly had was assigned one as well. All from 1996. 8th grade I dont remember if I rode a 1996 Crown by Carpenter or not but I know 6th grade the regular assigned bus was a 1989 Thomas for the first 2 months then a 1987 Wayne the rest of the year and my 8th grade year a 1999 Amtran.

  • My friends school had a few similar to the ones you showed us except the big diffrence is that they were made by ford

  • Most of our Carpenters have Jack-Knife doors on them.

  • I guess im really lucky to have a brand new bluebird bus every year!
