this is what the media does, it focuses the attention off of important issues such as war ext. to teens and kids because most parents are obviously going to pay more attention to there child before anything else

What a ridiculous statement! I was "fertile" at 9 yrs. old. Did that make me an adult? I think not!!! We are human, not animals!! Just becuz your body looks adult, your mind needs the experience and knowledge that comes with age, love and mentoring to become a happy, stable adult. Your commwents make me think there is more to them than the eye can see. Really now....sounds preditorial to me.

Teens are not children because they are fertile. Once a person's body becomes fertile, they are biologically adult. We are the only species that insists that fertile adults play the role of child beyond the naturally allotted time.

privacy is a good thing for teens to a point, but a parent has to protect thier child(becuz they still are children, teens or not) at all costs. The experience they lack, we, as parents, have already accumulated. If you feel the need to check there texts, e-mails, phone, etc. then just do it. Better a mad teen, than a hurt or dead teen.
