Thumbs for Shave and a Haircut!

@RailFanDavid It's a former Chicago and Northwestern unit. CNW merge whit UP back in 1995!
-
@Woody615 It depends on which way the engines are facing when they are put in a consist.
-
Holy crap, any one see the C&NW Operation Lifesaver Dash 9?
-
Non train person question: On a train with multiple engines, why are some facing forwards and some facing backwards? Just curious.
-
@RailFanDavid AC6000CW
-
@Trains232 i think it was an ac6000

All 1990s power! And not a single SD70M, SD70ACe, or ES44AC in sight! I like this consist

Wow! Former CNW and SP on the same train! How many former D&RGW and CNW patched units are left on the roster? It seems as if the former CNW Operation Lifesaver AC4400CW's are the main units to be patched. And yes, there still are several unpatched former SSW units and I've seen one at my local UP yard!

@29edin : Can't say for sure but in all likely hood there is one engineer and one conductor. All the engines will have the air hoses laced but they probably won't be MU'd. MU'd=multiple units meaning the engineer would have control over all of the power if they are MU'd. With modern day crews it may just have a conductor with a remote control and no engineer. My younger brother just retired from the UP as a conductor and they were fazing out the engineer in favor of a conductor w/remote control.
5*'s and a favorite*! I never thought that UP crews were that nice.

Yep, you are exactly right. According to a up-to-date UP roster, it is a GE C6044AC (AC6000CW).
