How To Use a USB Microphone in Logic

Logic doesn't seem to recognize many USB mics, and after running into this problem myself and reading about many other people in the same situation, I decided to do a quick how-to video for YouTube.
This video was produced back in the yesteryear of Logic 8, so a few things have changed since then. Updated annotations will hopefully make the transition process heal up nicely...
The basic process is creating a new aggregate device in the audio/MIDI utility in the applications folder. This will make your new device accessible everywhere else in your system (for the most part), as well as in Logic or whatever DAW you use.

Hey man... I can't seem to get my microphone that is plugged into my Fast Track Ultra to work. It just picks up my internal computer microphone on my macbook.. Can you help me?

it is picking up my mic but when i play it back i cant hear it even if i solo it

I find when doing this with an MXL .007 that Logic takes an age to intialize recording, sometimes it doesn't even bother. It recognises it as an input, but I cant hear what I've recorded when i play it back.
Absolute nightmare.
