  • Ramona I am new at gardening and your tip for using eggshells is very so smart, I love it. I can't wait to see more of your gardening tips. By the way, I'm growing tomatoes in containers, and tips on that?

  • @SuzzeQ1 Yes! Plant a Basil plant near your tomato plant. It will help not only in the flavor of the tomato, but will help keep some pests away. Also, I feed my tomato plants worm castings. If you go to my Ramonas Basil Garden Gifts dot com website you can take a look at the benefits and order some. Have you downloaded my free ebook Love Your Basil? It's on my regular blog Ramonas Basil Garden dot com (leave out the spaces and use the . in place of the dot)

  • how do I transplant basil, and other herbs from the round plastic pot they come in to a peat moss planter. I do not have a garden outdoors so I have grow my herbs indoors. Also I have no balcony, sunny windows or anything like that. Hope you can help me. Thank you

  • @thenitap You don't need to transplant into a peat moss planter. Transplant right into a decorative ceramic, terracotta, or plastic planter. Just make sure you have a large enough pot to allow the roots to grow, plenty of drainage and are using good soil. I also would like to suggest worm castings. This will allow a store bought plant the extra nutrients to allow to grow strong and resistant to disease. Ramonas Basil Garden Gifts.com (omit the spaces)

  • Wonderful and very inexpensive way to grow basil. I always look for using recycling material to grow my herbs. I already use egg shells for fertilizer and I will use shell to grow my basil and other herbs this year. Thanks

  • @thenitap I also want to mention I live in a very cold place Canada on the east coast and now the days can go down to freezing and be quite gloomy very cloudy with no sun. freezing

  • @thenitap Thank you for the quick reply. Will do that and I have joined your face book and requested your free basil book. It showed up at the right time. I want gget the ceramic planter believe me, but because I am in school I have to do with the peat moss larger box for the time being. Thanks again so much

I bought the plants from wal-mart no holes in the little round plastic pots..

  • @rocktrns17 The stem where you pinched off the leaves will die. But you should see new growth soon and it should be 2 little branch off's. Then when you see a pair of new leaves, let them grow. When you seen a set within a set, pinch the inside set and this process should happen again. Keep doing this process.

  • @starz0911 I found the link and downloaded it I didnt see anything about inky plants on it,but today I had 3 pairs of leaves and I pinched back to two pairrs, and now the nub that I pinched back on turned light brown color is that ok?
