They're called Hasselback because the -en at the end of hasselbacken is like the English "the", so calling them Hasselbacken Potatoes would be like saying they're THE hasselback potatoes... which in unnecessary. And weird. /knows things

Witty, charming & intelligent - your vids & recipes are a pleasure. No avoiding the testosterone remarks from the guys but thats to be expected I guess? I make Hasselbacks on the BBQ often - cut, soaked, buttered, seasoned, wrapped in foil on the upper grill rack. They are always a special treat. Oh and for more decadence...aged grated cheddar strewn about. Thanks for some really outstanding recipes. All the best

A Swedish trick is to put the potato on a wooden spoon while cutting it. If you can figure it out, it's way easier :)
