  • Can some one provide me tech questions: How do I install XP pro to Asus R2E system?

  • @JMAStudioFTW

Hey dude I totaly agree but that post was before windows 7. I hated vista I stuck with xp it was much faster and less hastle. I'm now using windows 7 its a mix of xp and vista which i'm kind of liking, need to use it for a few months to decide if I'm gonna stick with it or go back to xp though. Seems to run smoothly though...

  • Hi, mate

How did you install XP one the flash card?

  • What a waste of time, your r2e takes the piss trying to load |I got vista that boots quicker than this on my r2e + windows xp on my r2e which I boot from a flash card man sort it out!

If I was you I would get your self some readyboost action and get your memory maxed

  • Hello Enaynteefayv,

This is a good video and shows that XP can work on an Asus R2E but my question is, how did you do it?

I have installed XP Pro on my R2E bec. like you I found Vista to slow but I am having troubles to install the drivers from the Asus website, especially those for the touchscreen, the display and the dedicated buttons.

    Do you have Power4Gear working?

Can you explain to me how you did it and where you got the drivers/ulillities from?

    Many thanks,

    Mark.
