Research shows that screening for colorectal cancer saves lives. That's because screening can catch cancer early, while it's still curable. But let's face it, having a colonoscopy to look for cancer or precancerous polyps is not fun. Doctors at Mayo Clinic have studied and improved upon a non-invasive screening test that requires no preparation or procedure. The test detects cancer or precancerous polyps by measuring DNA in your stool.

  • Is this test available yet?

  • It' isn't up to doctors to accept medical insurance. Yes insurance companies will welcome this after FDA approval. And NO, this test will not replace Colonoscopy. If positive from DNA testing through Exact Sciences Corp. (EXAS) you will still need a colo to remove the polyp. It is the gold standard for screening.

  • Will the doctors accept our medical insurance for this screening test

  • how many GI doctors will commit sucide after this test replace colonoscopy ?

  • you sucker are GI doctor wants money out of colonoscopy

  • doctors ignore this for more money in colonoscopy

  • It can't replace colonoscopy.

There will be cancers that don't contain the searched for sequences.
