  • Was clear until 2:22 then you started pressing different buttons to what you were saying and my printer started printing out colour blocks using up all my ink :(

  • @TheOriginalChill Are you using a J4680? Because that is what the video is for.

  • dear anyone do i have to have the disk to print things please write back

  • @recon294 You'll need to install the driver software. You can get that from hp dot com and search for drivers and downloads for the J4680. Once you've installed the software, you do not need to have the disk installed to print.

  • On the HP home page search for c01585107, it is the "How the Scan" doc for XP. this doc will show how to scan for other OS's on the "related docs" links on bottom. Without knowing which OS or SW version I think this would be the best choice.

  • @HPTechUS Yes. Don't worry i done it in the end thanks, after muting the sound and seeing what the were pressing. When i did try to print the network details (doing the same as what you done) the printed said printing.. took in the paper like it was going to print and out came a blank page (yes i have got ink) anyway i didn't have to print anything, my computer found the printer and i could scan the pic i was trying to scan, maybe because i'm on a mac it just worked.

  • THANK YOU, EASY TO FOLLOW.

  • how to disable MAC address filtering on wireless router

  • Thank you, Great Help, very clear and professional......I tried many online help & no joy...... Yours was excellent....

  • @HPTechUS I have set up my printer and it is found on my network. I can print and make copies but I am not able to scan. I have checked my network settings and the computer and printer are on the same network. In one comment you told someone to look at 4:19 of the video. There is nothing at that point that helps.

  • I've connected this printer and it prints wirelessly, but it will not scan that way. The printer is installed twice; once when the USB cable is plugged in and there is a copy of the printer that is used when a cable is not used. How do I get it to scan wirelessly?

  • @HPTechUS what's the IP adress

  • @afre13 I'm trying to reply in the video, but YT is freaking out. Anyway, so what IP does your Printer have? And what IP does your Computer have? It sounds like the software is not finding your printer on the network, and so it is failing.
