Not only that I am also a big fan of Richard Strauss's opera Elektra. I bet the big reason why this cartoon version is like this is probably because of her destructively, dysfunctional family. Just like in the opera, she might've been treated like an animal or something. On top of that her dad Agamemnon was killed through Clytemnestra and Aegisthus. Yet weirdly in this cartoon Agamemnon is seen alive but as a drill sergeant. Excuse me for sounding like I am over-intellectualizing. hehe

It's cool to see Electra in this cartoon even though she can be bitchy she's interesting. I bet it would've been even cooler to see the rest of her family like Iphigenia, Chrysothemis, Orestes and of course their mom Clytemnestra. If ever they appeared in this show Iphigenia would've been like the wise big sister, Chrysothemis would've been the preppy cheerleader type girl, Orestes would've been like a boy scout and Clytemnestra would've been a Joan Crawford-esque matriarch. Just a thought.

In some way then guys would be able to tell how girls actually feel. It's much better than saying "it's fine" or "okay" or "i'm okay"

Tbh there were very few heroes, who got happy endings (Perseus being one of those few). They weren't also the most honorable people either. In some ways Electra has a point, but she's also wrong to condemn all of them for the actions of a few.
