Managed to salvage the best part of this VHS tape which hadn't been used in 20-years, so it was a bit sticky, hence the skipping bits.
Trust me, I've been cursing that VCR many times, but there's nothing you can do about it. All you can do is be greatful the tape still plays.
This is one amazing performance.
Fusion lovers will adore this.
Killer line up, with Mitchel Forman on keys, Gary Willis (without a cap, which is rare in itself) on bass and Tom Brechtlein on drums.
It can't get more Fusion than this.
Mitchel Forman's solo is one of the best synth solos ever.
This track 'The Last Silk Hat' is off the album Antlantis.
The way they play it here is nothing like the album version. This is much faster and has way more swing.
Almost 25-years on, I still feel this was the music of the future. Now it's just a distant memory. Whatever happened to Jazz-Fusion?
Enjoy!!!!!
great to see this - thanks geeljasjes for posting this - atlantis is one of my favourite jazz albums and wayne's best in my opinion- the level of composing on it is quite staggering

Thanks for posting, I posted the Endangered Species clip, which is a better performance but quality is not that good.
Whatever happened to Jazz-Fusion?
Go to abstract logix website, fusion still lives.
