'Gold und Silber' ein Walzer von Franz Lehár, Tanz-Orchester unter Leitung von Dajos Béla. Record label: Odeon O-6504a / xxB 7500
Lehár is most famous for his operettas -- but he also wrote sonatas, symphonic poems, marches, and a number of waltzes, the most popular being Gold und Silber, composed for Princess Pauline von Metternich's "Gold and Silver" Ball, January 1902.

This Odeon record is played on a Sony PS3750, the 45 rpm is converted to 78 rpm. The cartridge is a Nagaoka JT-322 with a special 78 rpm needle with just 1,5 or 2 gram tracking force.
The recording is made on the Computer with a Creative Audigy-2 soundcard
in Dual-Mono and 16 bit - 44,1 KHz.
We use a RIAA-preamp and corrected the RIAA in the computer using an anti RIAA EQ. But we don't like that typical flat 78 rpm sound, so we do not use a low-cut filter. We denoised and declicked just a bit using the filters of an audio editor. You can still hear hiss and noise but these are old 78 rpm records and
this record is very worn out. We don't like the complete hiss and noiseless sound.
The video is made with a Toshiba Camileon S10 Camera, HD 720px - 30 frames.
