You can hear the influence of traditional Romani music upon latin music. I believe flamenco is Romani music in origin. The Spanish Rromane are recorded as coming into Spain via Holland and Belgium (Flemish lands) back in 1425ad. It was this branch of Rromane now calling themselves as "Kale" who actually called themselves as "Little Egypt" hence - Gypsy. From Spain they went onto Britain and Scandinavia where they are also recognized as Kale. Kale were probably a break away from Sinte Rromane.
