  • Unscrew thermostat, pull out from wall. Hang top WC, "X" vinyl over thermostat. Work down. Hang bottom. Reinstall thermostat.

  • @hoz49 Yeah, I agree with removing it, but I was asked to show how I cut around an IMMOVABLE object on the wall. And I rarely remove any electronic or control panel from a wall as my insurance won't cover it if I mess it up.

  • This was very helpful! Thanks

  • @prowallguy next video: how to remove tape after wallpapering over it :)

  • An hour later and with one strip, i had to cut around two awkward obstacles and your tip worked and it worked wonderfully. Thank you so much! I expected nothing but a disaster and it worked out beautifully. Thank you for taking the time to film this.

  • I have a shitload of things i have to install around. Circuit breaker box, phone jack and light switch plate. All three of which are all next to each other. This is a nightmare for me. I've never hung wallpaper and i imagine this is one of the most advanced types of jobs. To top it off, it's vertical stripes! My first piece, which was the ONLY are that doesn't have obstacles ripped in three spots! I'm beside myself. I can't quit but i hate this. I just want it done.

  • @hoz49 At least make your cuts "fat" and tuck the WC behind the thermostat.

  • Correct me if Im wrong but I think you cut a bit too high on the top left.

  • thanks m8, a very handy vid.

just had my first attempt at wallpapering. in my kitchen. baptism of fire!

    shitloads of switches and sockets!

i had a bit of trouble with internal corners as the paper folds in on itself.

any good trade tips for that would be appreciated as still have bathroom to do.

    thanks.
