  • Nice to see that you're still alive Mac.=]

So how is the Lucid Dreaming going if you're still doing it? A lot's been going on for me with that subject,my recall is excellent, and I'm becoming lucid more often. Also I feel that most people are genuinely rotten and corrupt, that's a reason why no one want's to help out their fellow man.Common good dead's are long gone at this point in time..it's really sad, that there is no one to "Save" anyone.

  • >I feel that most people are genuinely rotten and corrupt, that's a reason why no one want's to help out their fellow man.

    Isn't that reasoning a bit circular? :)

Oh, lucid dreaming is always going well. If I do ever stop, it would appear on thecast since I've been doing it for my entire life.

  • I have another thing to add.

1.) People look out for their own self interest. This is not going to change.

2.) If we can find a way for self interest to benefit more people, such as the creation of wealth to also create jobs and therefore more wealth, then charity becomes more effective.

Get to give. Create to give. Give opportunities. Etc.

  • Charitable gifts only last as long as people are happy. In other words, for as long as bread doesn't go stale.

  • People also give out cash because they think they are helping and they sincerely care and want to help.

But in my opinion, the only way to really improve the impoverished is to build a foundation for a continuous stream of wealth. When I say wealth, I mean at least the necessities - food, running water, shelter, health care. Not mansions or malls, but wealth to sustain life at an acceptable quality.

  • And this is why Bill Gates is great.

  • Altruism is a disgusting practice. I only give when I know I will get something in exchange that I determine as equal. Don't lie to yourself and pretend that there is any true self-sacrifice.

  • Good message

  • You just pretty much riffed off a really famous Gandhi quote, and even paraphrased it in this vlog. "Be the change you want to see in this world."

  • It is rare but there are people who love someone so much where they would not get angry if there spouse cheated on them. These people would let there spouse have whoever they wanted at the cost of their own heartache.

  • I used to volunteer for a charity. It was sad to see how little they really cared about what they were doing. And where did most of the money go? To their salaries! grrrrrr

Canada is a little more caring society. But I agree with what you said. Nobody really cares about anybody but themselves.
