Tim and Eric: It's A Woman's Pant!

Tim and Eric try on clothes for their "Success" sketch from Season 1. Eric realizes that the khakis Tim put on are intended for ladies and not men. Ferocious laughter ensues.

A lot of people think Tim and Eric were high in this video due to the laughter, conversation, and "smoke" everywhere. It's actually a fog machine producing the "smoke", as can be seen in the finished "Success" sketch.

For further proof, I asked Eric about it and he cleared things up:

Q: Were you guys hotboxing in the "Success" segment of the Behind the Scenes video?

A: We were not hotboxing. We never use drugs in writing or performing the show. But watching.... now that's another story. I recently received and email from a Boston man that told me he dropped some liquid acid and he FINALLY understood the show. We don't think you need any drugs to think it's funny, although it's pretty obvious that they can enhance the experience. Just like amazing music or art or making out, etc.

Any of you stoners actually realize how much work and focus it takes to do what they do? Most likey they're NOT high...but obviously they've done their fair share of drugs because they are on that wavelenght.

1. It's not "bad video quality pixelating", it's a smoke machine used for a scene.

2. Calling everyone stoners for no reason was pretty douchey. It's not a ridiculous notion to think they were high here, especially since they didn't appear to be filming anything, just trying on clothes.

3. Eric confirmed that they weren't hotboxing in this scene like a year ago. I know, I asked him. And his answer is in the video description if you'd thought to read it.

3. I read the description. I said most likely they're not high....but heck, they could be....maybe Eric is lying, maybe he's not. Its probably not a good idea to admit drug usage publicly. Or is it? I love his response because I just don't know whether to believe him or not. I would tend to agree with him, as you need to be sober to produce a show.

1. Watch the whole "Success" segment this footage comes from. You can clearly see fog everywhere blowing around. I ripped this from the DVD, it's clearly fog/smoke.

2. I have a sense of humor, but I don't see how your comment could have been interpreted as anything other than condescending.

3. Tim and Eric have both publicly acknowledged drug use. One person asked Eric the last time he smoked pot and he said "three days ago". But they always stick to saying they are sober while working.
