GM Visits Goldshire (Kirin Tor)

On 9/11/2008, I waltzed into the center of Goldshire after checking out the Darkmoon Faire, stunned to find everyone huddled around a blue-clad GM! My first time seeing one in person, and it was really cool and a lot of fun! Apparently the GM was there checking on the 'RP environment'. I'm happy I wasn't messing around that day... :-P
I'd like to thank GM Zingamor for making the night a tad more interesting! :-)
As hinted to in the title, this all took place on the Kirin Tor (US) RP Server.
*Just a note - to avoid all the incessant chatter, I didn't record the user interface. Also, there really is no sound. That being said, the movie is kinda boring in the middle - you just see people jumping around, and occasionally flying straight up. The best parts are right at the beginning, and right at the end when the GM leaves. ;-)

@ComocosonoEWL I would believe this was a private server, but being on a crap load of private servers I've noticed they don't hang out in goldshire like they do on retail. so no, this is a real server...

@ComocosonoEWL hhahahaahah whats sad is people like you who think they know shit when they DONT!...gm's often do this to amuse players....i have seen this happen twice to me...once a gm came on a 5 man hcs i was in and another time in durotar and morph everyone

Goldshire is the best. for alliance its pretty much where everyone goes and for the horde its the best place to raid. for most realms anyway.

@moofdogcow it used to be fun to watch people try to get on top of the inn in goldshire. it was a very simple trick, but one had to do it just right.

Yey for Private Servers, Im just sad that people feel the need to lie and pretend that this is a real blizzard server. A real GM would be fired for doing this.

This video was made during the BC xpac - back then this kind of interaction was allowed - no idea if that has changed. This is not the only time I've seen a GM in-game. The second time was in the early days of WotLK before flying mounts were introduced to Azeroth. The GM appeared to everyone, as he was porting folks and warning them to get off the roofs in Goldshire.
TL;DR - this is a live server, US Kirin-Tor, in 2008.
