MY RENDITION OF A MERLE HAGGARD SONG.

Most every one knows the story of Bonnie & Clyde from history or the movie. Since I live in the area that most of the activity took place I have always heard a lot about it. Their crime spree began about 1932 and lasted until 1934 when a group led by ex-Texas Ranger Frank Hamer (a story by himself) led an ambush to massacre them in Louisiana. As a teenage boy, one of my great friends was Mr. Warren Dalby from Dalby, TX. He was in his 70's at that time. A crusty old guy who lived a very adventurous life full of danger and fun that left impressions on the teenager. Long story short, Warren was a tracker that worked from 1932 to 34 with the FBI and Texas Rangers to locate Bonnie & Clyde and try to put a stop to their rampage. My dad saw the car in Clarksville, TX a few weeks after the killings. It was on display and had not even been cleaned since the incident. It was definitely another time and way of living back in those days!

  • rednecks.....

  • wow...........

  • @theratfarmer The story of B&C is true but it has been glamourized over the years - mainly by the 1967 film. B&C is undoubtedly fascinating because of the era and they looked cool. but if they were modern day killers you would see them for what they are..

  • @WhiteLillyProduction

    then we are now enimies.

  • @SarahSmith666 no hero of mine, but they had guts. as the story goes. maybe it was all made up. the pictures of the dead boddies doesn't look like the pictures of the living persons. how can that be? why would someone or a group of people make up such a story?

  • So why are these animals heros to so many? They were evil serial killers like the rest!

  • But isn´t the girl with the blond hair Bonnie and the skinny dark haired his brothers wife???

  • @WhiteLillyProduction Are you related to Rhee Linder ?

  • This is great! Very few covers do the original justice but this one actually equals the original!

  • @WhiteLillyProduction

Bonnie is my distant cousin is what my mother tells me.:) so i might be related to you.
