Under the Legislation of S.1390, 58 Senators voted to cease development and production of the F-22. This plane is a fundamental component of the United States Air Force, and without it the US is a sitting duck. This change indicates the reversal of a trend started in WWII, were the United States decided to would spend money to prevent soldiers from dying in combat. The amendment in Question is Levin Amdt. No. 1469.
