damn dude you did a lot of work, was the rebuilt expensive, or did you swap the engine?
-
I know a guy selling a q45 for 2000 in brklyn NY Im was thinking about getting it but I heard they have alot of electrical problems is this true?
and how expensive is the parts for this type of car?
-
Z32 coilovers>?

i love this car. i couldnt of asked for a better swap, the car drifts great and with a lil more work it will be even better. i did the swap b/c i wanted to be different. and i was not looking for alot of HP, and over all the VH dose not have a lot of after market support, along with the small water jackets it has witch with drifting would not work out vary well.

I hope that was a brain fart because there is a HUGE difference between 10 seconds and 12 seconds...
with a few mods and a few grand I agree 12s may be possible, though I think it would be a 13 second car more likely...
10s though is NOT possible for a few k unless you've got a shitload of spare parts kicking around and a garage at your disposal. You'd have to make 500+RWHP...more than double the stock whp...that's not cheap...

I got a 94 q45 and I really wanna do an rb25det swap....you gotta tell me how this engine is working out for you. Is it smooth? How did you solve the problem of a RHD transmission? Why do you have those ugly guages and switches instead of the stock ones?
-
wait, did u put that engine in since the v8 cant be hooked to a manual gearbox, or some other reason?? im very lost on why you'd ditch the v8 , which, with auto, and a few mods, is 10-12 sec car lol
-
looks like your ready for the expressway with that beast.
Makes me wanna get a '95 Q.
The engine was junk, completely torn apart when we saved the car from the junkyard. And automatics suck. The car was towed from FL to NC with the engine not bolted into the subframe, half taken apart and the P/S pump dragging the ground.
