This engine had been standing over 20 years in storage, at the corner of a giant hangar. It is a 1600 AD doubleport engine, and i plan to put it in my 77 baywindow doublecab.

When i got it, it was almost complete, only the point were missing. Also the whole engine was stucked.. Fillid it with diesel and let it soak for a night, and with som force i managed to release the pistons!
But when i when i was going to drain the oil, there were no oil coming out.. I had to stick a screwdriver up in the block.. this released mora than one liter of mud, sand and clay.. slowly followed by some very thick oil.. I had to flush the engine with petrol and fresh oil to clean out all the shit inside the block..

The problem with the engine is the fuelpump. I had a couple of old pumps, but non of them seemed to work properly, so I shall buy a new one soon.

So this movie should give you an idea of how good these engines(and cars) are! I strongly recomand you to buy yourself an old aircooled Volkswagen! You won't get disappointed
