The Avon Theatre presented "The Avon. The Red Carpet. You." , its inaugural premier fundraising event, at the theatre at 272 Bedford Street in Downtown Stamford, CT on Sunday, February 24 beginning at 5:30PM. Guests were greeted by valet parking attendants and escorted into the historic theater with searchlights lighting up the sky and theater facade. This gala extravaganza celebrated all the glamour and excitement of the film industry.

Chair of the gala was Deborah Royce of Greenwich, CT who with her husband, Chuck Royce, are co-founders of the Avon. Chuck Royce purchased the historic cinema in 2000 and soon thereafter began a huge restoration project which was overseen by himself, Deborah and the other co-founders, John and Olivia Farr of Bedford, NY. Executive producers of the gala were Pamela Lewanda and Bob Neiman, both of whom serve on the theate's advisory board. Both reside in Stamford, CT
