@sealiftcommand Greetings, once called for employment, we go to norfolk, va. Then 2 months training in Conneticut. Do we get paid while in training? Also, I live on the NW coast, perfer to be deployed out of Portland/Seattle. Are there MSC ships in my local area? thanks

Many of the requirements are position specific; however there are three universal requirements you should know about:
1) a US Passport
2) a MMD (Merchant Mariners Document)
3) a TWIC card (TWIC means Transportation Workers Identification Credential).
The endorsement on the back of your MMD has a lot to say about the type of position youll qualify for with MSC check the Now Hiring page on to find the official Maritime Job Opportunity Announcement youll need.
