MATCH OF THE EIGHTIES - 1983-84 SEASON

The fourth from a six-part series, first broadcast by the BBC in 1997, in which Danny Baker takes a retrospective look back at the previous decade's football.

A fourth European Cup returns to a Rush-inspired Liverpool, but signs of resurgence stir elsewhere on Merseyside, as Howard Kendall's Everton reach the FA Cup and Milk Cup finals. Glory also beckons for Tottenham, whose boss Keith Burkinshaw leads them to the UEFA Cup, but then leaves the club citing boardroom interference.
