I own one of these horrible scopes, the tripod is garbage, the optics are awesome for the price, but the shoddy plastic everywhere and useless tripod ruins it. Also, false fucking advertising.

I recoment people to NOT get this telescope. A good pair of binoculars will give you way better star gazing that this "telescope".

Just like with any other "cheap" telescope at regular stores. It is NOT worth the money. The optics are simply too bad. Remember it's not about how many times magnification it can give. Magnifications is useless if it's not sharp enough, and the optics for this is simply too bad. It's about optics and the amount of light it can gather.

I must say that i recently purchased this same telescope from hobby lobby it was originally $84.99 but i got it for $46 due to a 40% coupon that I had i thought i was getting a steal yea right i took that thing right back saving up to get something really nice a Orion reflector

Meade and Celestron are not the companies they once were, if they wanted to market low priced junk, they should have formed subsidiaries that went other different names rather than using the parent company name. I know some MBA probably told them that they could use their "brand" to sell more cheap telescopes but at the expense of company reputation. That guy is now gone and they are left holding the bag. Anyone in a company that talks about the "brand" is a dummy.

hey i have this telescope but it dont have the computer on it but its pretty decent i look at planes wit it
