Fast-rising labour costs have become a prime concern for manufacturers in southern China, and many are turning to other parts of China and elsewhere in Asia to produce their goods. Mr. Rockowitz will share his views on how all this will play out in the coming year and discuss whether southern China is losing its luster as a center of manufacturing.

Bruce Rockowitz is the President of Li & Fung (Trading) Ltd, the principal operating subsidiary of the Li & Fung Group. Bruce has also been an Executive Director of Li & Fung since 2001. Bruce was the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Colby International Limited, a large Hong Kong buying agent prior to the sale of Colby to Li & Fung in 2000.
