  • The reason mental health is so expensive is that we start with diagnoses and medications, the most expensive elements of treatment. Although labels and meds help some people, they hurt many others and may increase the amount of disability in our country. Yet a completely self-supporting business could start with peer run hospitals, peer call-in lines, and completely recovered people to pull people into the community.
