I see all to well as developer of Real estate myself, the mayhem and destruction caused to the environment. When Power and Greed = Money! Corruption is rife and is everywhere in all developing countries and in all industries. Not to mention in local politics, when building companies pay favours to individuals so as to assist developers in seeking approvals to build housing estates. Contracts are won on favour generally speaking. (CONT / BELOW)

  • The making of your films provides and allows for a greater audience ,sometimes necessary to stop the wanton destruction to the environment, and the loss of normal liberties to the public in general. I say to you "Congratulations" and wish the people of Coatham and Marton sucess in maintaining their rights to have some of Englands Greenery on their own doorstep.

    Best Regards

Steve Snowdon - Perth, Western Australia / originally Northallerton.

  • WOW!!! Do we live in 21st century England or 1960's Russia? This is fuckin' terrible. The old woman made my heart sink with shame and sadness to think that this knid of thing could happen and people dont do anything to stop it. Where can I watch the rest of this film?

  • Great postings! Public screenings of the 50 min film are being currently being set up in and around the Redcar area. And eventually the whole thing will go on youtube. cheers.

  • There is no need to develope the Common except for the financial exploitation of the people. Much of our Common land as a nation was gifted to the people & stolen with no oppossition from our so called, elected officials Good luck in standing up to the developers.Mobilise the masses. Take tour camera down & find Sand Lizards! Nesting Terns! Great Crested Newts! Slow Worms! Smooth Snakes! Etc Etc Etc They are bound to be there. They would be found if it was wanted to be blocked by Big Brother.

  • Good Stuff Craig. Keep after them. I gave the Private Eye piece to my son to get the issue discussed among younger folk ... no wonder they are disillusioned with All politics. When one sees that our own MP, Vera Baird, Solicitor General, supervises the demolition of the Legal Aid system for the low-paid; then we see how far removed from ordinary folks existence our Business-orientated political class are. This film of yours is explosive. Rock On!

  • we built few small dirt jumps on the old golf course...

the next day they were gone. its bloody stupid, its still the same to this day!

  • why the skate park? possibly the only place in redcar to youths to go and have fun and to stay out of trouble.

  • The council is determined to concrete over every square foot of the borough. Their plans target almost every green space left in the Redcar/Marske area.

  • They should pull down the Coatham bowl, the skate place and the leisure centre, 3 eye sores, that make Redcar even a bigger dump, but leave the links alone

  • Just got my leaflet through the door tonight with the list of all the things that the council have done regarding Coatham and other things. Lets hope that the showing of this film in the commons on the 5th of May, opens a can of worms for these crooks that they cant close.

  • Nice one Craig, keep up the good work, hope you and your family are well, be good to see you next time i'm back home

  • does any one know how much the council were paid from the film company when they filmed redcar and what will the bonus be spent on. EXPENSES FOR STAYING AT POSH HOTELS FOR MEETINGS AND AWARDS FOR BEING A GREEN COUNCIL ,ALSO FOR TRAVEL..

To add to my earlier comments, the council are forever closing this road beacuse of high winds, sand and flooding on the Majuba rd corner with the golf club, each time they do this there is no consulation with residents, who then need to negotiate around these barriers to be able to park at their homes. They constantly forget about the golf club and its access,or the caravan site.

The Barriers fall over in the wind and are just left. The barriers then become a cacane for the boy racers.

  • Craig,

Just seen your video after discussing with you today on the golf course. The only positive to come out of the credit crunch is this land for the near future will never get built on. I live right on the corner of High street west and majuba road and take it from me if they do build house there within five years they will be empty , why, Because within one year anybody with a car will have the paint work removed by the sand, The drainage of the house will fail because of the sand etc etcs

  • i left redcar 19 years ago and moved to swindon and thought this council crap but as i have just seen its not the only one
