L&W- Put It to a Vote

Nick's POV: Holy crap, holy crap. Demi's missing. Mom's missing. David's freaking out. I'm freaking out. EVERYONE in the entire world should be freaking out at this moment.
DEMI'S MISSING. You hear that, world? M-I-S-S-I-N-G. I'm screwed. Totally screwed.
I paced in the kitchen biting my nails. David was backtracking everything that had happened tonight.
D: Okay. [murmurs to himself] I was hanging out with her when Joe. JOE! That's it!
N: Shut up, dude. Quit picking on him. He wouldn't do such a thing.
D: Fine. [looks at him] Then figure out why you saw your GIRLFRIEND take her outside RIGHT before we found out she was missing.
N: YOU SHUDDUP ABOUT SELENA TOO!
Tiffany: Guys, guys! We shouldn't fight. She had her cell phone with her, she's obviously gonna call in a matter of seconds. We should just be patient and mellow.
N: [harshly] Says the one with weird makeup eye goop.
T: [gasps and covers for her eyes, running to the bathroom]
Peter: [walks in] Found anything?
D: No,sir. Nothing on either of them.
P: Crap.
N: I know, right?
*doorbell sounds*
Everyone in unison: Humans.
N: [yells] ITS OPEN!
Sel and Miley walk thru the door.
S: Anything? [joins them in the kitchen]
D: Not a thing.
N: Hey, guys.
S: [nods towards him]
M: Hey. Did you check Joe?
D: [smiles] Now THATS what I'm talking about.
S: Why would Joe kidnap Demi?
N: THANK YOU!
P: Its just suspicious.
D: HA! Three rules over two. We are hunting this dude down. [grabs the car keys]
N: NOT SO FAST! What about Tiffany?
M: Not fair! I wanna find Demi. What about you, Nick?
S: Miley, we should get some facts before we hunt someone down like a dog.
Tiffany: [from the bathroom] I vote we take this dude DOWN!
N: Tiff?!?!
M: HAH! Let's go.
S: MILEY! YOU CAN'T BE SERIOUS.
*everyone in the SUV*
S: I can't believe you guys were serious.
M: Take a left here. [in the front w/ David]
Nick POV: I groaned in the very back. Dad and Tiff were sitting in the second row, the middle seat down (Selena was claustrophobic). And Sel was right next to me.
N: This is wrong!
T: Shut it, Nicholas.
N: DAD?!
P: Listen to your sister, Nick.
N: [groans again]
Everyone(excluding Sel): SHUDDUP!
Nick POV: We got to Joe's house. Jeez this is so stupid. We stayed in the car and watched as David knocked on the door. We waited.
Selena leaned closer to me, facing the other way and trying to get a better view. Her hand touched mine and she flinched.
S: [looks at him] Sorry.
N: No, I am.
S: Er- Yeah. Your hand shouldn't have been there. [a hint of a grin pulling at the corner of her mouth]
N: I meant about that uh...time you dropped me off, you know?
S: Yeah. You're forgiven.
N: Really?
S: [shrugs] I mean your sister and mom are missing and I don't wanna cause you any frustration or.. something.
N: Thanks.
M: [looks into her passenger mirror at the couple smiling]
S: Yeah, so can you like scoot over so I can see?
N: What? Oh, yeah. Sure. [moves over]
S: [leans again]
Nick POV: The smell of her hair filled my nose. It smelled like lilac. Then I felt warmth inching toward my hand. Thinking it was a spider, I was taken by surprise when I felt it was a human hand. Her hand. Then it held mine. I smiled.
