Poor kid! What kind of shit is this?! Corporal Mortification or no, I don't remember seeing anything in the Bible that says we should do this. If anyone can show me the sciptural passage that says that torturing ourselves or others pleases God, let me know.

Also the fact that its done in what seems to be a very open part of town isnt cool, in matthew we are told to go into our rooms and close the door when do so much as pray. Matthew 6:6. And i mean culture is different in each place but that isnt an excuse, the bible is what we MUST compare ourlives to, anything that is done outside of what it says isnt cool.

im not 100% on the reason as why they do this, but the debt was settled already, you can never enter heaven through works, all our works are like filthy rags before God. If you ever need a reminder of the sacrifice read the gospels.
